Mr. Ojukwu is the Principal Partner at the Firm. He possesses a truly brilliant legal and analytical mind and has had an extensive legal practice in wide and niche areas of law including but not limited to Petroleum/Oil & Gas Law Advisory, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Corporate & Commercial Law, Civil/Criminal Litigation, Election Petition proceedings, amongst others. He has also offered legal advisory services in many project finance & international-finance related transactions and in that capacity, has successfully advised on a variety of complex multimillion dollar, high-stakes transactions.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Abuja after which he was called to the Nigerian Bar.

He also obtained a Master of Laws Degree in Petroleum Law and Policy at the prestigious Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) of the University of Dundee, United Kingdom.

In 2017 he attended Jesus College at Oxford University, where he successfully passed a Diploma Course in International Commercial Arbitration in conjunction with the United Kingdom branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

He has also attended several high-level training workshops and seminars at reputable institutions, both locally and internationally.

His pledge to exceed clients’ expectations, and the assurance of diligence, utmost professionalism, legal excellence and doggedness in any matter with which he is associated are some of the attributes that have distinguished him from his peers in the profession.

He is a prolific writer and has authored several papers and publications such as: Endemic power outages in Nigeria as a barrier to industrial growth and development; What are the imperatives for the attainment of capacity? (Aug 2010); Nigeria’s regulations for the security of the supply of petroleum products; Pros and Cons of the written form of arbitration agreement; Cap and Trade Emission mechanism under Kyoto Protocol: Have developed countries contributed enough to the reduction of C02?; Power project financing: How does risk management Affect project bankability?; Fair and Equitable treatment: Is it an autonomous standard and legal regime of international customary law?, amongst several others.

Ojukwu has also provided legal advice to governmental institutions and functionaries at the highest levels of the Nigerian Government. In 2021 he was appointed as a Consultant to the Senate Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution with the responsibility of advising on far-reaching proposals for the amendment of Nigeria’s Constitution.

Ojukwu is a constitutional law expert, a freedom fighter and a human rights crusader. He enjoys travelling and discovering new and exciting cultures.
